Attack and destroy the oncoming waves of enemy helicopters. Age of Defense 3. Game details As an elite soldier, after ejecting right in the middle of the enemy territory, can you survive the waves of helicopters sent to kill you? Collect weapons and power-ups to help you along the way. This mod simulates the flight patterns of Southern California (more specifically, Los Angeles area) law enforcement air support helicopters. That is, they will orbit around a target entity or position instead of just hovering above. A spotlight will track the subject when night-time.

Heli Attack 2 is an Internet game created by Squarecircleco. Players take the role of a soldier in a jungle-type environment, and must take down as many helicopters, or 'helis', as possible before the player dies, using a wide array of weapons. Points were gained for killing helis, in accordance with the damage done (with a bonus for using special weapons) and averaged out by having the last heli die with you. Every 3 helis destroyed would give players a weapon or an extra (see below) or if the player had destroyed the heli from above (using a hyperjump) a random weapon smaller in quantity was gained. Another sequel was created to it, Heli Attack 3. Heli Attack 2, due to its popularity and fun gameplay, was voted Miniclip's 2003 Game of the Year, and Flashkit.com's Most Addicting Game of 2003. Also due to its exceeding popularity, it was released for Symbian-enabled mobile devices, such as cellular phones. Weapons Explosives are harmless to the player. You can only die by being killed by a heli or by committing suicide with the K key. Some particularly powerful explosive weapons, though (especially the A-Bomb and the various grenades) will repel the player away from them if they are close together. The weapons available in this game are as follows: *Submachine gun: This is your weakest and base weapon. Naturally, it has unlimited ammo. It is not very powerful: 30 shots are required. This is made up for its rapid re-fire rate. This weapon IS a sub-machine gun, and is replaced in Heli Attack 3 by the pistol. *Akimbo Mac10s: Fires two bullets that are slightly less powerful than the SMG (if you compare just one of the two from the Mac10's shot). Fifty pairs of two per cartridge, and it will take 17 pairs with perfect accuracy to destroy a heli. *Shotgun: Releases five shots which spread out in a cone. Most efficient at close range. Four shots to a kill and fourteen to a cartridge. *Shotgun Rockets: An odd cross between a rocket launcher and a shotgun. Fires three rockets that spread in a similar cone to that of the Shotgun (however they move slightly faster). Three shots to a kill and eight per cartridge. *Grenade Launcher: Tosses grenades. Shot trajectories are parabolic, hence from ground level these cannot reach the helis. Typically, players will jump and shoot. Four shots kill and there are twelve to a cartridge. *RPG: Shoots Rocket-propelled grenades. Grenades appear to hover before accelerating to an incredible speed. Four shots to kill, and ten to a cartridge. *Rocket Launcher: Shoots a slow moving projectile. The rocket may miss the heli if it zooms off screen. Three shots to kill, and eight to a cartridge. *Seeker Launcher: Shoots a rocket similar to that from the Rocket Launcher; however, it will follow the helis. Three shots to kill, and six to a cartridge. It takes slightly longer to reload, and it may lose its way on occasion when the heli zooms off the screen. *Fire Mines: Lays down a mine where you stand, or if you are in the air, it will drop directly down to the ground. It bursts out a pillar of fire upon touching the ground for approximately three seconds. The fire can pass through cover. At maximum damage, it will destroy 3/4 of a heli's health, so they are best combined with other weapons or used in pairs if the accuracy slips. There are three to a cartridge. *Flamethrower: A nifty weapon that has appeared in all 3 games. The farther the flames go, the less damage will be inflicted, so usually the player will want to get as close as he/she can, jump, and fire. There are 150 shots to a cartridge, and the reload time is virtually nonexistent to simulate a real flamethrower. This weapon can kill many more helis than any other weapon in one cartridge, and this can be maximized by jumping close to the heli. Ideally, this is done by shooting across rather than up or down. This is because the heli is wider than it is tall, so there is more area to be damaged. A maximum of 12 or 13 helis can be killed with one cartridge. * Railgun: This futuristic looking weapon shoots a large green laser which moves instantaneously across the screen then fades away. The round can pass through cover. Two shots to a kill and three to a cartridge. *A-Bomb: Considered one of the best weapons in the game. One shot will kill a heli and it reloads at a fair speed;however, the bomb travels incredibly slow. Most players fix this by hyper jumping and shooting the rocket right on the heli for an instant kill. Two shots to a cartridge. The proper title of the weapon is 'A-BombLauncher', but the voice that repeats the weapon names says only 'A-Bomb'. Attention! if you're too near to the detonation it you will feel the effect. *Grapple Cannon: This is the only other weapon that will destroy with one shot. This will simply attach to the heli and pull it down to the ground, where it crashes. It is inescapable once it hits. The Grapple Cannon is an improvement on the A-Bomb by having a speedy projectile, but on the downside, it takes the longest to reload of any weapon, and it is the only weapon that will not provide a random weapon if it destroys its target during a hyper jump. The GrappleCannon will also not give any Time Distort after helis are killed with it. These weapons drop down from every third heli destroyed, and look like supply crates. Their contents are identified by their colour-coded type. Many of the weapons are also seen in Heli Attack 3. *Yellow: Rocket type *Purple: Grenade Type *Red: Fire type *Green: Shotgun type (The Shotgun Rockets are included in this class) *Blue: SMG type (Only the Akimbo Mac 10s. This also appears on the machine gun's virtual crate when it is taken out.) *Grey: Special (Grapple cannon, Railgun and A-bomb) *White with yellow arrow: Power-up (more below). *White with red cross: health pack. This appears after destroying 15 helis, and then it doubles to 30, 60, and 120, and so on. Also, occasionally a crate will be a random crate. This allows the player to 'choose' their weapon or power-up, but not a health pack. TimeDistort will allow you to view, in slow motion, which weapon you are about to choose. They cycle in the order seen above, with the power-up inserted near the end. Extras The extras available in this game include: *Health Pack: Shown above. *TriDamage: Multiplies all damage done by 3. Rocket launchers, Seeker Launchers, and Shotgun Rockets destroy in one shot now, and should be used frequently. Fast weapons such as the Mac 10s and Flamethrower (particularly Flamethrower) should also be emptied out during this mode. The RailGun will also kill in one shot, but this expends time and power that could be used shooting faster weapons. *Predator Mode: Gives you an upgraded RailGun (called the Shoulder Cannon) that kills enemies in one shot. You become nearly invisible until hit by a bullet (enemies will fire randomly). The only downside is that the screen inverts colors, so it's difficult to see where you are going because of the scenery. *JetPack: Gives you the ability to fly. Destroying an enemy in midair with this has the same effect as killing an enemy during a hyper jump. *Invulnerability: Makes you invincible. *TimeRift: Slows time down for everything except reload time and movement time. Powers *TimeDistort: Slows time down, such that everything moves slower: bullets, helis, weapons, you, and even reload times. Replenished in sections by destroying helis. *HyperJump: You jump significantly higher than a normal jump. Destroying a heli while Hyper Jumping gives the player a random weapon award, although the ammunition included is less than the package when dropped from a heli, and some weapons, such as the A-Bomb, won't be found as a random weapon. The hyper jump counts as one jump, so you can make a second jump in the air at any time. *Double Jump: Press the jump button again while in the air to perform a double jump and get higher. *Suicide(K-key): Automatically ends the game. Enemies The heli is the only enemy. Just like Heli Attack, there are an unlimited number of helis. There is only one level in the traditional sense, but at 1,000,000, 2,000,000, and every double after that, the game tells you 'Level up', which means the helis shoot better and faster, rather than any change in the player's abilities. Glitches *If you go all the way to the end of the level, and stand under the overhang, there is a glitch where you can never get hit. What you do is you stand under the overhang, but don't touch the wall on the left hand side. Next hold the left button down, and just as the soldier touches the wall, hold down the 'down' key. Keep the down key pressed in order to remain crouching, this will make you un-hittable. From there, you can fire the Rail Gun, the Grapple Cannon, the A-Bomb launcher, Shotgun Rockets, and Grenades. You can also shoot the Seeker Launcher if you are careful to shoot it at an angle such that it doesn't run directly into the overhang. To get out, simply press down (to go on top of the overhang) or press left to go below the overhang. You can also use the hyperjump. *Occasionally when a heli flies off and returns, it will be entered in the tally at the top of the screen as having been killed. However, you will get no points for this 'kill.' It is unknown whether this affects when you get the next Health Pack. *If you get the bonus pack 'Invulnerable', you cannot use health packs even though they are dropped from helis, no matter how many helis you kill. *In Internet Explorer, click and hold the left mouse button down and drag off the game screen (and then let go of the mouse button). If done correctly the 'gun' you have will continually shoot without the need to hold down the mouse button. If the mouse button is re-clicked the gun will stop shooting or you click (left) and hold and than click (right). *If you get a kill that results in a weapon crate being dropped on the top-right of the map, the crate will sometimes become lodged in an invisible crevice. You can reach this crevice by hyperjumping, however. *You can get a score of -1 which is counted as the highest score in the high score list. This is achieved by using a Cheat Engine. *If you shoot an A-Bomb upwards while in the overhang, you will become lodged in the ground. See Also |
